My name is Darlene Marshall, I am a facilitator of process! I have a passion for people development, specifically leadership development. I spent over 12 years in corporate America building a career in human resources, specifically training and development. My desire to share the “secrets” to successfully navigating the interview process is what led me to write my first career blog known as Interview Chatter. I spent 3 years as a blogger and career columnist for b5media as a member of the bizzia.com blog network. I have more than 25 years of management experience, both in the corporate sector and as a leader of nonprofit. I joined the Lighthouse staff in October 2016 as the Business Office Manager. I was promoted to Executive Director in February 2018. In this role, I am responsible for the overall strategy, operation and management of the Lighthouse community at Hopkins Creek.
Prior to working in the healthcare industry, I served as Learning Manager for Advanta Bank Corporation and Division Training Resource Leader for American Express. My career also includes work with several nonprofit organizations, including Executive Director of The Hiding Place, a residential facility for women in crisis, and Minister at Rock City Church, where I provided counseling and home and hospital visitation services. I also served as Director of Cromwell Christian School of Ministry, where I managed the school’s curriculum, student recruitment and faculty staffing.
Today I am a certified John Maxwell Speaker, Trainer, Coach. I am also certified by the Center for Executive Coaching as an Executive and Career Coach.
